Spring Nature Hike

  • Lake Erie Metropark Mashland Museum 32481 West Jefferson Avenue MI, 48173 United States (map)

Downriver Linked Greenways (DLG) and Friends of the Detroit River (FDR) will be partnering with Lake Erie Metropark for a Spring Nature Hike! The event will take hikers through Lake Erie Metroparks diverse habitat using trails to show some of the native wildlife in the park. This is a great program to explore new trails in the Metro Detroit Area and learn more about local wildlife. The hike will be approximately 1.5-3 miles depending on trail conditions.

The program start time is at 1pm, but we ask participants to arrive 10-15 minutes before to ensure that all proper paperwork is completed. Please note that the trails may be wet and muddy so we recommend dressing for those conditions. Participants should wear hiking boots or close toed shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.

Lake Erie Metropark does require an annual or daily pass to enter. Registration for this event is encouraged, but not required. In the event of inclement weather, our trail program manager will inform participants of rescheduling at least 12 hours before the event via email.
